Indian Head massage is performed either seated or lying down, and can be performed either on top of clothes or on bare skin. Indian head massage is great for relieving tension in the shoulders, neck and head as well as stimulating lymphatic drainage and circulation.
If you are having a full body massage you will be asked to undress down to your underwear, removing your socks and bra. Your therapist will begin by discussing any problem areas with you and the depth of pressure you prefer. The fronts of the legs, abdomen and arms will them be massaged and you will be turned over. The backs of the legs, back, neck and shoulders will then be massaged. A course of treatment may be advised in order to get the full benefits of massage.

During an Indian head massage the upper back, neck and shoulders are massaged using a variety of different massage techniques, building in intensity. The head is then massaged using pressure points and stroking techniques.

High blood pressure may also be increased with massage and you should be advised by a doctor before treatment.
